That's not a Q3

They seemed to have used a flash in their photos, which may have oscured the emitter. But you're right, the emitter looks odd.

what about this one http://www.lightake.com/detail.do/sku.ZY_C61_Cree_Q3_Power_Flashlight_Torch_Black-27021

That's a cree Q3 but the build quality will be poor compared to the other light.

Dam I ordered 2 light for $19.98 and both have generic Leds in them.

Just ran the light against the Trustfire R5-A3.

The Trustfire is slightly brighter on NiMH than this light running on 16340.

This light has a pure white beam, the spread reminds me of a XPG led.

I put these unprotected batteries 1000 mAh 16340 in my ultrafire wf139 and my 7dayshop charger. They charged the batteries to 4.40v and 4.42v Is this safe.

What is the correct voltage for a unprotected battery of the charger?

They should cut out at 4.20V! Those voltages are way too high.

midieval10

I have 2 16340 and 2 18650, all 4 are unprotected, I have 3 chargers all the chargers charge unprotected batteries to 4.40v and protected batteries 4.2v, are you saying all my unprotected batteries are dud?

No it either means your chargers suck or your method of measuring voltage is faulty.

All of my protected/unprotected cut off at exactly 4.19V. I use the Trustfire TR001 http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4151

The maximun limit is 4,25volt. Above that voltage reduce battery life and increase risk of explosion

The first time I charged the batteries they all charged to 4.6V now they charge to 4.24(max)v on all the chargers.
