Romisen RC-T601 vs. XinTD C8

Does anyone have comparison beamshots of these 2 lights? The previous version of the RC-T601 is fine. I know they both get 2 thumbs up from most everyone here.

Good question. I was wondering the same thing myself.

XIN has a choice of 3 or 5 modes, I thing the Romy only has 2 modes.

Rats, finally sold my 2010 509hp Mustang...now I can buy more lights!

Sold the red one too! Now guess what I drive, doing my penance for 500 hp commuters...

Check out those lights but I would suggest a Crelant V9-T6 over them. Much better cosmetic quality and beam quality!

I have the 700 2 mode version and it is powerful.  Throws further than my TK35!  I just ordered the XML U2 VERSION with over 750 lumens and I cant wait to test it against my TK41.  I believe it is one of the best lights out there in terms of throw and brightness.  Better also than my Keygos KE5 and UF 980L.  Smile

Does anyone have a link for the 700 for the XML U2 version?

I was torn between these and a few others, the Romisen is almost certainly brighter with reported draw currents over 3amps but otherwise the XinTD has it easily beat. Better tint, almost invisible PWM, better range of output, better runtime, better heat management I'd guess.... Prob more! Does the Rom tail stand?

Do you mean the 750+ 2-mode version?  It is at http://www.shiningbeam.com/servlet/the-113/***NEW***-Romisen-RC-dsh-T601-II/Detail.  The older 700+ 2-mode version is already sold out at Shiningbeam.

I don't have any U2 XM-L's yet.  For that price I would have grabbed that Romisen, but I was hoping it would have been available in a NW tint.  I'll keep it on the list for now.

I've ordered the new Romisen model from Shiningbeam (already shipped!). The only cells I have are 18650 TF Protected 2400, which I've had for a couple of years and I'm fairly sure they aren't fakes. Is it worth going for a different cell - lots of good reviews on here for Panasonic and XTAR - recommendations welcomed.

So which of these is the better bird? I'm considering both.

I just ordered the XinTD... mainly because I hate the  cigar grip rings on the Romisen and I want a NW emitter without strobes, high PWM and 3 modes.

And how do these stack up against the c108 Fandy from DX?

Sorry to bother, Jeansy, but which one has better tint, invisible PWM... Xin or Romi?

Just got the Romisen RC-T602, definitely the brightest light I have. Makes my Klarus XT11 look like it's run on AA. Mine has five modes and rated at 1000 lumens. Still runs on one 18650.

Wow, but how does it throw? And is the beam profile significantly different than standard C8s? Do you have the T601? How does it fair against that? Also, what about the 980L, Trustfire X8, or TK35? I'm told the T601 can smoke them.

Had a bad experience with the romisen RC-T601 U2. Got one with a way off centre LED, almost touches the reflector. Asked the seller for a replacement
and he told me “it’s a budget light what do you expect, return it and take the refund to buy something better” lol Great way to stand behind your product Shiningbeam.

Guess i will go for a XinTD 8

Only just saw this mate, I meant the XinTD. As ILF has pointed out that his friend owns both of these I’d see what he has to say, I only own the XinTD so maybe accused of biased but judging by info I believe what I said is correct

I just got my XinTD... what a perfect light... butter smooth tailcap threads... even un-lubed... can tailstand perfectly... very clear lens and reflector... perfectly centered emitter... very, very nice tint (NW).... it just screams quality all over... very throwy for a C8, but still usable spill... nice high PWM (undetectable)... landslides better than my cheapo KD C8(XM-L) and my Ebay C8 (XR-E)...  it gets the "Vectrex Seal of Approval" overall.

Would love to hear his thoughts. Trying to decide between the two, and it seems owners of each stand behind what they have. Really would love to hear from someone who has both.

Unfortunately yes. I’ve decided to keep it and take the star off and realign it. Was cheaper to buy new thermal paste then it was to ship back cause i’m in Canada.

Wow, I am surprised to hear that out of Brian. I’ve never had a problem from them, sorry to hear that. You could send it to E1320 another guy on here just sent his to Erik and is very pleased. Ok to the lights I just got the XinTD C8 V3 XM-L I chose the 2 mode CW which says 910 Lumen It does throw good and is a nice bright white color. I got my last KE-5 out to compare it to last night which pulls 3.55 amps and they are pretty close, the tight hot spot of the KE-5 edged out for the win up close but the KE-5 get’s alot hotter to hold when the XinTD stayed cool/warm Here’s a link where I got my KE-5 for $19.99 http://www.ebay.com/itm/1300-Lumens-CREE-XM-L-XML-T6-LED-Flashlight-Torch-KE5-/400294678074?pt=US_Flashlights&hash=item5d336c0e3a I hope I was some help, My new KE-5 and RC-T601 II is very close to call…

That does sound like a good idea, i’ve just never heard of E1320. I’m pretty new to this site.
But i am interested in getting it centre. I think i might destroy it trying to get that paste off.

Did you do a search and find the one where he just fixed for somebody? Erik is a great guy and will be able to fix you all up!!!
