not DD, nor DX, nor MF, or anyother online site, but good old HD - Home Depot
(did not have to wait 4-6 weeks for delivery either. About 2 minutes in the checkout line)
In the future I will post other great deals at local stores that will suprise many of you.
One of those deals was the 2D LED Maglite that Home Depot and Lowes had for sale on Black Friday, with 2 Duracell batteries for $14.88.
I keep saying this, but I need to find time to write up a review of some of the best ultra-budget lights for $2 to $4. I still love the ultra-cheap lights and use them regularly.
Don't get me wrong here, since I love super budget lights...in fact, I can't resist buying them
but I bought 1 of these lights and it was so dim that you could hardly tell it was purple. I threw it out. maybe I got a bad one...but it was worthless.
Do NOT waste $0.60 on these! HD would have to pay ME to take these worthless lights. Even the batteries are crap. I bought a half dozen as stocking stuffers 2 Christmases ago and every one of them was the crappiest disappointment I've ever seen. Nothing about them is moddable without extreme effort.
Utter utter crap!! Did I mention they are crap? Oh, and BTW...they are CRAP!
Actually this is about the only good thing about these lights. Nice colors for tailcaps in a universal 14mm size.
Perhaps it's just the mood I'm in right now but these are quite literally the only lights that have ever made me angry just thinking about them. I am quite honestly pissed off right now and in a foul mood from just thinking about them. :(
The P60 tailcap is 14mm on the projecting end... so I'm guessing it will work. If I find myself near a Home Depot, I'll probably pick up a couple of the red/blue ones for the tailcaps and toss the rest...
I find there also some cheap Flashlights on sale an online shop, they offer flashlight price as lower as $2.19 with free shipping.not DD, nor DX. they called Miniinthebox.
I have one of these. I got it from DD I believe. It was like $1.98 or something.
The output was very dim. It was much dimmer than the el cheapo AAA lights I bought for the same price. The tint was in fact purple. The body is very thin and cheap feeling. The threads are the worst I have felt, think metal screw top bottle cap feel and you get the idea.
I could give it away to my wife. She had a sour look on her face when I handed it to her and asked if she wanted it. even extreme non-flashaholics will be bitterly disappointed.
Even at $0.60 I wouldn’t buy it. The ONLY good thing about it is it has a tailcap clicky.
I don't get why western people would go below Sipik SK68/Romisen G2/Hugsby P31 quality level. I get that there is a market in China/Asia for these, but BLF members deserve something better. BTW I have a similar one just to show the difference/development in emitter technology.
