Dorcy 600 Lumen 6X AA Light

A rather impressive light from Dorcy $92 is outta my range though..

Wow! Exactly the kind of light I think we've been waiting for in the "consumer world" (ie. local sporting goods stores). However, your right, that price is way too high!

Why does it say using NiMh will reduce runtime? Wouldn't using NiMh over alkaline in nearly every scenario give you more runtime?

yes, too high, but I do like it a lot.

Someone posted this near the end of 2011 and I did some googling. I think there's a review on cpf? can't remember exactly, but i dont' think it is well regulated. There are graphs out there somewhere.

Also, considering the size, I wish they'd made it 9xAA - 3s3p - then it'd be easy to stick a nanjg 105c in there...

Found the review and I think the non regulation is on purpose to keep it from over heating.

I've seen this light. Prices kills it. This would be like my Coleman 500 Lumen MC-E, between 50 and 75 bucks. Made for camping for sure.
