1x18650 KD C8 opinions

From reading here, the KD C8 seems to be the best all-around XML T6 flashlight for the money. I definitely want a light that only uses a single 18650 and that doesn't heat up alot when used on 'high' for awhile. I looks like trying to get one with a zoom isn't a good idea, and I'm apparently one of the few that like 5-mode lights. Especially the strobe feature. Go figure. LOL. Any solid opinions on this?? Any other suggestions need to be in the $20 price range. I just want a wicked bright light. Biggest lumens for the buck. ;)

Thanks everyone in advance!

Not much more to say. There's a thread somewhere with 500 + posts. Just do it!

That would be my review. https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/939#

To date, I have yet to find a 1 x 18650 XML/well driven/properly heat sinked/quality/well designed light for the bargain price. IMO, its still at the top of its heap, and there are hundreds of others that compete for a slice of the pie in that price range. Just read user comments from recent purchases to make sure the current shipping batch is up to production standards from whatever vendor you chose. Good luck and have fun!

I still think its the best deal going. I have quite a few budget XML's and for the price / overall quality you can't go wrong.

I routinely order this C8 from Manafont; it's a nice light if you don't mind opening it up and cleaning it up a bit to make sure that it has decent heat sinking. I had to clean a bur under the star on the last one I bought so it would sit in the pill properly... It's very bright on high and always impresses. Only $21.95 delivered.

That one has gotten a lot of attention as being a good C8 as well.

Thanks for all the replies! Yes, I did read that gigantic thread until my eyes bled. LOL It has lots of good info. Just double-checking here to make sure that the KD C8 is still the 'class leader' so to speak for the $20 and under LED flamethrower class. Thanks everyone :) I did order the KD C8 from Kaidomain a short while ago. Looking forward to checking it out. Now to settle on some serious 18650 batteries (that won't break the bank). I received some help initially in the 'general' part of the forum, but I'm thinking about posting in the battery section. The information there is intense...and pretty far above my comprehension. From what I heard the Trustfire 2400 batteries are top-notch. Not sure if that's still so. Also, it looks like manafont seems to be the only real trustworthy place to buy them from. Sigh. TOO many choices :/

Tenergy 2600mAh cells aren’t bad, they can be had on Amazon for ~$7.

Received 2 times SKU S009844 on March 1, ordered February 5 from KD and they seem to still be as FlashPilot originally reviewed. The rest of my comments here.
