What are your other hobbies?

Just curious to see what else everyone here is interested in. I personally am a gadget nerd, love gadgets even if I don't need them, hence my multiple flashlights. I am also into computers and home and car audio, again going along with the gadget part, lol. So, what else do you guys do?

rock clinbing (indoor gym climbing for much of the year)
astronomy
scuba diving
playing a guitar poorly and infrequently

I have two major other hobbies, Car Detailing and Photography. By the spring comes flashlights backup a bit and the other two rises. For Winter the other way round.

Lifting Weights

Cardio

Fishing, Diving, Bodysurfing

Modifying mopeds

Music & Movies

Audiophile stereo equipment

Keeping my computer bug free

Rewarding myself drinking and eating

playing with my daughters

computers (one of my biggest hobbies and my profession)

reading (bookworm). Not really one hobby, more like one hobby per study topic

chess

karting

driving (everything)

movies

collecting knives, multitools, various edc items

was an athlete shooter but, at some point, it became too expensive and time consuming to participate all the matches required to keep a gun possession permit. So, haven't been around guns for a great while but I still love shooting!

Mountaineering/Camping/Anything outdoors

Basketball

Swimming

Bicycling, mostly road, but some trail/MTB.
Reading - fiction is my favorite, but also science.

Motorcycles - tinkering and riding. Can't keep me off my H-D

Computers and tech gadgets - My hobby and, as a result, my job

Cigars and pipes

Weapons of any type. Guns, swords & knives

Watches & lighters

Building, modifying or repairing anything I can get my hands on.

Dag, nobody post any pics??? Smile

I am 70+ so bear with me..

That's me in the middle..AFF at 3 miles up. I rode 125 miles to the DZ on my motorcycle, that is why I still have on my motorcycle boots. Cool

Practicing for NRA 2700 point matches with 1911, and Hi-Stand Mil.

My NRA match sweethearts.. My Marine Corp accurized 1911, with BO-MAR Heavy Lock Up Ramp and my beloved Hi-Standard Military. They are 30 to 40 years old, and still dead on!

I handloaded and cast bullets for all my matches and hunting pistols.

Too big to post this one, but at a roadrace, entering a corner at 100mph+ only inches away from two other racers.

Oh, and the bicycles, just started this, and this is what bought me to BLF. Wink

I am living proof that life begans at 65 years old.. Cool

BTW, don't you all be mad at me for posting pics. I do anything and everything to keep myself pumped up.. I see too many people my age, almost throwing in the towel. No freakingway!!Cool

This is my method to beat the aging process and do battle with the arthritis. So far, I been WINNING!! Cool

cehoward: I want to be you when I grow up (which will probably be never) Laughing

You have a great outlook on life! Keep it up, that's what I plan to do. I just turned 55 in January and I'm in the best shape of my life, feel better than I did 20 years ago.

I like fishing and recreational shooting. I haven't gotten to do either of those in a while. We are just now recovering from a very severe drought in NE Texas so the lakes finally have water in them again. Maybe I'll get to go fishing again soon...

Flashlights fit well with me because they are gadgety and electronic. They give me something to work with and since I'm good with soldering and have a rudimentary understanding of electonics, I really enjoy it! I've always modded things to get better performance or design (overclocking PCs, modding flashlights in the before-times) so BLF is just a support group to enhance my natural proclivity.

Martial arts. Trained in both Karate and Taekwondo. Interested in researching just any other types of martial arts.

Cars related stuff, especially modification.

Guitar, though do it very seldom now.

Watching movies.

Outing with friends.

My family first, of course! (two wonderful boys 2 and 5 next week)

Cooking, big passion of mine, having a French mother.

Cycling

walking

Working out. Used to do a bit of boxing (married to an ex champs daughter). Boxing's not for me though.

Woodwork and building stuff, Mainly motorhomes (RV) As I used to be a coach builder.

Oh and torches when I get time.

Marc.

P.S. Fabulous to see you doing all that stuff. Like you I am 6'3" and 85KG, and I have vowed to stay that weight until they put me in a box! I am only 35 tough, so another 65 years to go!

pictures speak louder than words...

Raised dog feeder

Another raised dog feeder - (client wanted contemporary design)

Floating walnut shelves and cabinet

My ww shop - old picture (looks alot messier now)

Ah, now I get your handle. Very nice work.

Thanks y'all,

Being young at heart does a lot. A healthy lifestyle, does wonders.

Plus on top of all that, I NEVER, EVER WANT TO GROW UP!!

There does seem to be some overlap in this area.

My main hobbies are car audio, tinkering with computers (mainly linux, trying new distros and converting people from windows) and photography. I also enjoy cooking, as well as cycling, and hope to pick up a new bike soon in order to start cycling to work - fuel prices here in the UK are still climbing, so hopefully I can save some money AND get fit at the same time.

Your workmanship and tool area are EXQUISITE and factor that by 10!!

Just want to interject, that you are in for a big, big treat in "cycling to work".. Wink

I commute 5 days a week on two wheels. Most of the time it is 3 on bicycle and two on motorcycle. But, lately it has been 5 on bicycle!! Wink Gas is $4 a gallon here. Sheesh, I don't care what the price is, cycling to work is a BLAST..

Safe riding to you, and congrats on the new bike...
