Recovered 18650 from old laptop. I need a cheap charger

I dismantled an old laptop battery pack

I recovered 6 from 8 cells (2 very bad, 0 volts)

But I need a cheap charger to charge them, because I have one charger those included in DX kits (very cheap 2 bay charger with bad algorithm). That charger overcharges to 4,3 volt, which I consider a high risk...

I need a charger which will not explode the batteries due to overcharging above 4,20 volts.

Any idea? Cheap please

Hi!

For about 8$.... this charger should do well

I have it (2 units) since about 2 years ago. Never goes above 4.20 volt, even leaving it all night with green leds...

Also consider Xtar MP1S ($8 - $10 depending on where you buy it)

I really don't think you should attempt to do Li-ion on the cheap.

Personally I wouldn't risk using recovered unprotected lap top batteries in combination with an elcheapo charger, to me id rather spend a few extra bucks than play around with a potentially dangerous set up.

Just MHO.

ML-102 from intl-outdoor is high quality but cheap little charger.

Second that.

Got two of those and they work great!

ultrafire from lighthound. about twelve bucks. I use mine for charging rcr123, 18650s. and 26500s. I just made some wires to connect and clamp them on. Works perfect for me
