Roche F12 Desert Yellow Mini 1-18650 Flashlight Show & Tell

This is another beauty I acquired several days ago from Ric at CNQualitygoods.com. Available at both of Ric's websites, CNQ and Fancyflashlights.com

http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1545

http://fancyflashlights.com/goods.php?id=39

The package arrived well protected and the flashlight comes in a great little magnetic display box. Within the box is the flashlight and the lanyard pictured below.

These are a few of the specs listed:

F12 Desert Yellow Mini 1x18650 CREE XM-L T6 Straight Tube Flashlight
800 Lumens
3 (Lo-Mid-Hi) ; 10%>40%>100% (Only available as a 3-Mode)
7*7135 2.5A
HaII Anodising
1 hours on High
Aluminum Alloy Mill/OP Reflector
CREE XM-L T6-1A CW OR XM-L T6-3C NW
Tail-Cap readings were as follows:
HIGH - 2.46a
MED - .76a
LOW - .13a
It should also be noted no PWM was detected on any mode

Fit and finish and HA ll anodizing were top notch flawless

For scale next to my Tank007 HC-128

The F12 lens was perfectly clear, but I did notice it had a finger print on the reflector. As of this writing, I haven't been able to remove the bezel to attempt cleaning it.

My example worked perfectly with button tops and flat top 18650's.

NOTE: As Ric mentioned on his website, certain diameter 18650's will NOT fit the battery tube. My Redilast 2900 & 3100's will not work. My Redilast 2600's are excellent.

Threads were all triangular cut and perfect and O-rings of the correct size. Threads and O-rings were bone dry and in desperate need of lube.

3-Mode 7*7135 2.5A Driver. The flashlight head gets HOT quickly on HIGH mode.

Tailcap components appeared excellent.

Also purchased a Yezl Cow Hide holster for it. Ric verified for me that the fit was correct before sending it. All ready to be used as an EDC.

Here are some beam shots taken on a more appropriate camera setting. I think I got it set right on the money this time. Just to be clear, this is not a shoot-out of any kind. Besides the F12, only the Yezl M6X has an XM-L operating at the same current. The others are identified in their respective photos simply for reference. All flashlights had fully charged batteries and run only on HIGH mode.

Photos were adjusted for posting size only, no other manipulation was done to them.

If you want to see why the Roche F12 runs hot on HIGH mode, take a look at the photos

Hope this give you all some idea how much light comes out of this little light from Roche. I'd have to say it's a bit over powered running at 2.46a+ for such a small light, but hey, that's what medium mode is for..LOL.

I've been waiting for someone to get one of these. Looking forward to the beam shots.

Nice! I see one of these in my future... just need to find a clip that will fit.

Thanks for the write up! That is really a nice looking little light! You don't specify the brand or link to it but it's not really an Ultrafire, is it? I'm guessing Ric just uses the Ultrafire gift box for these.

Thanks, Richie! I'm drooling and can't wait to get mine, hopefully tomorrow or Friday. The color in your pics looks quite different (almost gold) from the CNQG site picks, what do you think holding it in your hand?

It looks like a little brother to the SR King!

I think the brand is a Roche. That's what IOS version is and it looks like that's what's printed in one of the photos.

Nice holster, I should get one of those for my S-mini's

Yeah, I couldn’t make out what it was from his pics but it sure didn’t look like it said “Ultrafire” on it.

Hey Johnny, I didn't even realize that, I'll fix the OP shortly. The brand is actually a Roche F12. Maybe Roche is some type of subsidiary of HWA WYS Ultrafire? The box appears to be made for this size light, interesting.

Hi BetweenRides, Ric's website photo is exactly what it looks like in the hand. My photo lighting is a bit bright, sorry.

Thanks, Richie. That is good news. The sand color is one of the things that forced me to buy it. Not that big a fan of gold, except in my teef! :p

Well, you said it gets hot - is it pretty bright? 800lm accurate in your estimation?

LOL...good one. If it isn't 800 lumens, it's darn close to it. I have a Yezl M6X that I purchased a year or so ago from CNQ that's rated exactly the same as seen in this link http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1095

Although the M6X is the regular T6 CW and my F12 is NW, they are putting out a similar amount of light. It's just that the F12 is geared more for flood and the Yezl M6X has a tighter hot spot. But I'll get a photo of both and also toss in the Tank HC-128 too.

It stopped raining here, so I'm going to go out shortly and get some close range beam shots for the forum. Should have them up in about an hour.

OP updated with beam shots, enjoy!

Nice flood for such a little light. Thanks for posting the beam shots.

Great show-and-tell .

I think this light has it all , small , bright , neutral , floody and good looking .

And I'll bet the S-mini clip will fit .

I wonder how this one compares to Balder SE2...

Good thread - thank you for taking the time to post good outdoor beamshots. Very helpful

Looks great, like the floody beam :) hoping to receive mine sometime soon...
