Why would anyone want a maglite except to mod it? Maybe for pretending it is not a weapon. Big Smile

I'd think it more likely it takes 2AAs. I'm sure I've seen it somewhere before, but not Karrimor branded. They are so proud of it they don't even mention it on their website.

Apparently Lowes (local hardware chain) had an overabundance of these on hand and had them sale priced at $15US each.  I was compelled to buy a couple at that price.

I was thinking of chucking an XML in it and direct driving off 3c NIMH cells

Just need to find a decent heat sink, i may just use the same one i'm using for my sst-50 light as that contains a lot of material..
