Empty drop-in. Any suggestion?

I need a Q5 so i take it from an unused drop-in. Being a flashalcholic i can't have an'empty drop-in (also if i don't need it). So i need a suggestion.

I have many "standard" emitter (Q3, Q5, R2, R5, T6, U2..) so i was thinking about something different: an old emitter (P4, Osram..) , warm white led, UV, Infrared, blue, green, RGB... Obviously i need a 16 mm base to fit it in the drop-in.

Any suggestion? As usual cheaper=better

I just made a drop in with a XP-G R4 3D tint and I have to tell you it changed my whole perspective on what light is supposed to look like. It is really hard to describe this tint not yellow I don't like yellow but I heard someone describe it as vanilla and that is as close as I can get. So I would highly recommend you try one of these out, it may change you forever.

R4 3d Could be a good option.

I found also these

Have you compared the 3D tint to a 5C ?

The reason I ask is because I've purchased several lights from Shiningbeam with Q3 5C emitters and this is my favorite tint .

I have a Romisen RC-C3 from Shining beam with the Q3 5C and is looks yellow when compared to the 3D. For the longest time the 5C was my favorite then the 1D was for a while now the 3D is it's in the middle of these tints.

That 3D looks nice ...

New emitter ...

SSC P4 , Luxeon K2 TFFC if you can find one , oooh a Diamond Dragon ! , again if you can find one ..

I have a few SSC P4's , output is about the same as a Q5 , nice smooth beam .

Luxeon K2 TFFC , again about Q5 level of output

Diamond Dragon , if you get a good one , maybe 300ish

5C vs. 3D

Peach vs. vanilla ...

I have a 3S coming in the mail... no idea what it's going to look like.

Tried the DX's P4 but is very weak also has a lot of artifacts...the same with the KD's MCE warm drop-in pictured below transplanted in a Yezl ZI , has a big dark spot in the center.

The best deal is the LCK's Osram dragon , very nice tint and nice even beam , below in a P60 with an AK-47 driver.

Also LCK sell those blue K2 which are better than the XR-Es , the same flux with nicer beam , the showed above is in a P60 pill...funny post because the MCE and the blue one were made today ...

Thanks arenat! Both led (osram and blue) can support 1000mah as input current? The osram fit the "classic" drop-in (the one used in uf501, 502,503 or solarforce)?

Fit perfectly as has the same star picture below , Osram Diamond purchased at Ebay which I don't recommend, maybe is a low bin.

Both emitters work fine up to 1A . The bare emitter could be glued at the pill without star, just be sure to center it with the reflector till the glue dry/cure.

The K2 in the pic came with a 20 mm star which was filed down.

Thanks again.. So i can use also standard reflector with both (the original one used for Q5), right?
