I know I have said this before ThorFire, but if you do another review request like the C8 that was available to international reviewers for the cost of postage, I and many others would be happy to join in.
I popped in a cell and got nothing. Since the light is so simple in construction, all it took was to open the head and see the fried/cracked resistor on the board. I contacted Amazon to send me a return label. I’ve ordered other Thorfire lights, and none have ever had a problem, so this one was a bit of a surprise.
I added a review to my Amazon account the other day for the Thorfire PF03. I really like it and has now become my new EDC. Worked great out of the box and flawless condition. Just need to add some height to the tail cap switch to make it easier to press. It’s otherwise excellent. Thank you Thorfire.
I appended my review of the Thorfire PF03 to my Amazon review of the PF04 since they are on the same product page. It is much like the PF04, smooth yet great quality black anodizing, hard-to-push button (yet slightly easier than the PF04), very bright on 1 AAA battery, excellent throw with a slight hot spot up close, and well-greased triangular-cut threads. There are no annoying, useless (IMO) blink modes, no mode memory and always starts in a much too low to be useful moonlight (again IMO). The one thing that was not correct according to the included manual was that this was supposed to be the newest version with ML-L-H mode order but was the original ML-H-L mode order. The fact that the included manual and flashlight were not in accord means that it was not old inventory waiting on Amazon to be cleared out but a mistake when boxed at the factory. To me the mode order is better than the new version is supposed to have because I’m going to use it in high most of the time and will click past the useless moonlight mode and one click is better than two.
