I got a weirdo tracking number, “DDU”+bunchanumbers, never saw that before, no idea what carrier, the recommended 17track site doesn’t even load(!), and nothing else I threw at it shows anything, either.

Asked about it on AX, just got an unrelated salesblurb answer. Getting a bit concerned…

Hope you don’t freak out with the shipping thing in AliExpress. In my experience some orders from some sellers may take a few days to ship. I believe this is understandable but certain folks overreact with this, which is not good. When you shop for cheap free shipping stuff on eBay it often happens the items are reported as “shipped” in a fairly brief timeframe, something which at times makes me suspicious. However, since the provided tracking numbers for these items are fake, there’s no way to know this (this way, that is).

This is about realizing how much a shipment can take to get ready for the shipping services. I am overall happy with the AliExpress thing. FastTech, for example, usually takes a nice deal of days to get an order shipped once a it has a few items, as a rule.

Do you want to be provided with faithful order information? Do you deserve to be provided with faithful order information? The latter ≠ the former.

It’s not the maximum discharge rate.

By the by, 4000mAh is not impressive for a 21700 either, unless it’s actually a high drain cell.

Depends on the seller. I ordered a buncha crap on the same day. Some is already stateside to be delivered this week, others are still stuck at “label created, but not in the system” or some rot.

Well, I was mistaken. My ZanFlare F1 from Madeline ended up being shipped out a few days after the order, I just didn’t get an email notification like I did with the 21700’s, but I didn’t get one for the Sofirn C01’s, either, just an Ali message and a tracking number.

My ZanFlare analyzing charger will be coming this week, but I’m sure someone here will be posting test results on the Sofirn 21700’s before I get around to it.

These Sofirn 21700 cells from Aiexpress are just slightly different then the single Sofirn cell I received with my Sofirn C8F. The original cell has a perfectly smooth bottom and the new cells have a circular ring indentation in their bottom. I didn’t spend a lot of time comparing them but that was all that really stood out.
The new cells all read 14mOhm or 15mOhm on my XTAR Dragon. Testing in my Texas_Ace lumen tube, fresh off the charger, the original cell gives me around 2300 lumens and the new cells around 2500 lumens. My Shockli 21700, 4000mAh cells are 18mOhm and run around 2400 lumens in the C8F.
I paid $12/cell for the Shockli cells and I paid $4/cell for these Sofirn batteries. I think I got a pretty good deal so far.
I’m running a capacity test on my Opus charger now. It won’t be dome until tomorrow.

I just checked and the sale pricing is still in effect.

Hmm, so you guys already got yours, and the tracking number I got is telling me nothing, not even on AX’s own “track this order” thingy. It’s stuck on only that first bouncing “icon”, doesn’t even get to “dispatched from country of origin” or anything.

Sent 3 queries via AX, no replies yet. I’m getting a bad feeling about this…

Yeah, first tracking number (“DDEsomenumbers”) was a dud, warehouse lost them or something, but I was sent a replacement package which came just fine, tracking number (“927…”, USPS number) was spot-on.

Zanflare C4 reported a nice 4300 or so each (plus or minus), so even if “optimistic” they’re still just fine, capacitywise.

Hmmm, being that I ordered the C8F kits that came with cell+charger… I might need some new lights that’d take these 21700s.
