14$ Cheap "XHP70" flashlight

Hi in the last couple of months several of these very cheap 14$ flashlights have started appearing on Ali Express .

I understand that these are not CREE brand ( the die is similar with the 4 LEDs ) but at this price …. it might not have the brightness of the original but lets say it’s roughly 70% as bright as the CREE brand that still is A LOT of light, more than XM-L or XPL.

Any opinions on this ? Anybody tried it yet ?

One of the reviews on one of these showed it was a xhp50 instead. I normally stay clear unbranded lights.

i wouldn;t get a zoom - or anything with this 4-square led pattern… those are usually terrible, weird colors, dim, whatever

For $20 you can get an astrolux s1, or 2 convoys.

i also hate 2-cell batteries - unnecessarily big, just take 2 cells and have one small light, it will be just as bright
