if you notice at about 1:05, the light flickers as he is pushing the battery in… im guessing either his DMM is bad, or the charging circuit is bad on the laptops PSU

hope he knows enough to get a wrapper on that battery before we hear another VWF on the news

The reason the light flickers on when he installs the battery is because the outside of the battery (-) is contacting the body of the light and completing the circuit.
