That would be an expensive light to upgrade to modern XPL emitters or even higher bin XML2’s

seems there’s very little reason to upgrade emitters unless you’re going to try to run it at well over 100 watts
great way to sell the old stock though lol
Probably nice and efficient reaching 7,000 lumens with low A to the emitters as is, but I’d rather have my J18 do that 
even at a half of a amp to each emitter will be close to 10 + amps on the cells, and guessing heat dissipation will be a problem in this light. Now make an external Liquid-Cooling system for the emitter plate and drive it to 4 amps per emitter from a Deep Cycle RV battery then were talkin’ flooder. :bigsmile:

I guess they have so much XM-L1 in Stock that they produce lights like this to get them away…
By selling just one such light, they are getting rid of the last of the T6 bin emitters. lol
