USB-C charging, 26650 battery. Why I like it in this category is because it has also good battery level indication and good brightness level spacing. It’s not really a thrower, it has wider hotspot than FT03 or U22 you mentioned, so it depends what type of flashlight you want

I’m looking to buy a thrower right now, but if I were to upgrade my flooder it will definitely be on my shortlist. Which would you chose between the Astrolux, Manker and Acebeam?

Can’t tell, because I don’t own any of them I have no use for real long range thrower with tiny hotspot. I own a few throwers just because they usually have more flashlight-like shape (wider head for reflector). I use flashlights for close to medium range. I have FT02, it’s well made and for good price, so FT03 could be my choice for value/price, but someone else will have to give you thrower recommendation.

I’m not sure all the models in particular that have built in USB-C charging because I don’t charge batteries inside of flashlights, but in general, I would rate Acebeam as makers of top tier flashlights. Manker flashlights are also of superior quality, but often the UI makes them less appealing to me, personally. There are pitfalls to easily get stuck cycling through a series of blinking modes, which annoys me. Acebeam UI’s are typically simple and effective. Astrolux flashlights are good quality too, don’t get me wrong, but they’re not, in my experience, on the same level as the other two, often due to design choices (prematurely timed brightness step-downs being a common issue), or so-so build quality.

the ft03 if it delivers is a solid winner, for that price under 30$ there is nothing that comes close really., no wonder astrolux is having so hard to supply banggood all lights to over 1000 preorders…
