2s/2p Driver for single XM-L2, looking for suggestions

I’m looking for a driver without much luck. It’s for a lantern so driver size doesn’t matter.

Power will be supplied via a 2S/2P pack “(thanks freeme)”:http://www.gearbest.com/diy-parts-and-tools/pp_119294.html driving a single XM-L2.

I have several 2.0A, H, L, Strobe drivers left over from a past project but ideally I’m looking for 3.0A, L, M, H, even better if it had a moon mode.

Anyone know of any good candidates?

Taskled Bflex for 3A or less and H6flex for 6A or less. Mtnelectronics LD4B is a cheaper option forv 2.4A max.

Sounds like a good task for a linear driver. Zener modded Qlite from RMM is an option. If you’re comfortable doing the Zener mod yourself, the Qlite can come from anywhere and/or not be an actual Qlite but rather a Nanjg-105c (IOS, etc). Better yet - a Zener modded Moonlight Special from RMM or one of my A17PZL drivers if you want to build something yourself…

TaskLEDs are too pricey for my blood, one of these days I’ll build something worthy.

I was looking at the LD4B earlier tonight, most likely my best choice. And Mtn is a great. 2.4 vs 3.0 makes no real difference but L, M, H would be better.

I’ll give it a try, checks most of my boxes.

Other than having a higher cost (~$14) product code QLITE-ZNR should satisfy all your needs… including mode order and moonlight mode.

I thought the Zener mod kept single cell voltage to the MCU while allowing 6+ volts to the emitter. I’m looking for multi-cell voltage in to a single XM-L2.

My mistake Itinifni, I misread your request. Of course the Zener modded drivers are inappropriate for that! For some reason I thought you were trying to drive a 2s2p emitter setup.

Now that I’m on the right track:
You might want to consider the LD-29. It’s got (offtime) memory and low voltage warning. IMO the biggest downsides are that it has mode groups (so there’s a blink after you switch to low mode) and no moonlight.

I've used lots of these touch wood without an issue yet. The only problem is that some are a little noisy on some modes.

Output is anywhere from 2.8 amps to 3 amps at the tailcap. They tend to vary slightly with the components used.

There’s a thread for modding that board. Try “resistor mod for super output P7 driver”.

Edit- Yup

If you were to only buy 4 or 5 different resistors from FT what would you get that would cover the range for driver modding (stop laughing) or is just not possible.

Or you could get the LD-2C with 3A output, no-PWM.

IIRC, int-outdoors sells the LMH variant.
