First post here, been lurking for a year. Lots of good info on the forums,.
So I’m trying to make a 2xaaa maratac into a 2x10440 light. I got the 6v 12mm fet driver. Soldered it in and fired the led. Lol. For some reason I thought it was going to step down the voltage (even though I went back and it clearly states it doesn’t haaha).
Anyways can I use an Xhp35 and drive it at 6v (I see id’s rated for 12v but another source kind of hinted that it can be ran at 6v)?
Right now I have a 10440 and dummy bat with guppydr rev 2 fet driving an xpl hi and it’s super bright, I just would like more battery life.
I don’t know of a 6V led in that size. Xhp35 is only 12V unfortunately. Can you put a different MCPCB and use a 6V XHP50.2? Or you can use a small buck driver to run a 3V LED but it typically won’t be very bright.
I can’t find an MCPCB to fit or buck driver in 12mm that’s in stock . I’m thinking about nodding one. I was just reading a post on here about making your own. I may have to Do that. I do have a lot of extra mcpcbs laying around I could experiment with. Running an Xhp50 would be cool too.
