500+ Lumen Lightweight Headlamps

Are there any headlamps that use smaller batteries (16340, 18350, 14440, etc.) that do 500+ lumens? I have a few nice 18650 headlamps, but I’m looking for something lighter weight.

For example, the Zebralight H32Fw does 422lm at 33 grams, but there may be some brighter or cheaper options I don’t know about.

Armytek Tiara C1

Or the ArmyTek A1 Pro — just above your goal @ 545 lumens on a 14500. I gotta say though, while it was technically lighter than my H602W, it was less comfortable on the head due to missing a 3rd strap, much less bright, and had a much less flexible UI. I’ve had both, and I MUCH prefer the H602w for comfort. It’s still very light.

Definitely an Armytek A1 Pro, but 500 + lumens from a 14500 or 16340 would not give much run time though.

Armytek products look really nice. I might get the C1 or A1 in the future, but with their tiara C1, the weight with battery would be like 63g compared to 50g with the zebralight. The tiara A1 would be around 70g and the 18650 zebralight would be around 90g.

Anyways, before I pull the trigger on the zebralight 16340 one, I just want to confirm that there are no similiarly light headlamps? The olight s10 with a magnet is similiar in weight, so I’m surprised the aarmytek is that much heavier…

Skilhunt H02? I’m surprised that I was the only one dissatisfied with the Tiara A1.

Xtar H2 is 330 lumens and 48 grams. Seems a lot brighter to me.

I cannot say anything about the Zebra or Armytek but I can say that I have been using the Nitecore HC50 and now the Skilhunt. The HC50 is a bit on the heavier side so that crosses it off the list. The Skilhunt though is almost half the weight of the HC50, and very comfortable.

I am looking at the Xtar H2 because it does look tiny and lightweight BUT I could not use that at work where I need bright light all night long - the 16340 just would not cut it. The Xtar would be more for around the house or even table work because it is not as bright as the HC50 or H02.

It isn't quite 500 but what is the diff between 330 and 500? Is it really that noticeable unless one is needing it for more than close work (which you may be)?

The Xtar H2 is 48g without battery. The Zebralight H302w that I just ordered is 33g without battery. These small differences might not seem like a lot, but I wanted a lightweight headlamp and I guess the Zebralights are just unparalleled when it comes to weight. The 18650-driven Zebralight H602w is only 43g…

When you factor in batteries though it looks like this:

H302w w/ 16340 ~50g
H2 w/ 16340 ~65g
H02 w/ 18650 ~108g
H602w w/18650 ~90g

That explains it. I don’t even notice my H602w on my head …. so comfortable. Feels like a long lost hat!
