I am powering a single xm-l connected with a nanjg 105 board 4X 7135. The chip are getting very hot after 2 to 3 min on high. Can anyone please tell me whats wrong?
Too high supply voltage?
7135 IC voltage input :3-4.5V
heat = power dissipated from 7135 chips. if input voltage too high, more heat generated.
Did you used li-ion battery or voltage higher than 4.2V ?
I am using a panasonic NCR18650PF.
How do you know they are too hot?
They are sturdy little things and are thermally protected so can’t overheat themselves to destruction. It sounds like they need mounting on a heatsink. If you have a meter measure the current going into the driver and going out to the led, it should be the same. If there’s less coming out could be a faulty chip.
