8800mAh run same time on a light as 4400mAh, is this possible

I’m trying 8800mAh compared to 4400mAh battery pack on a single T6 bike light
Fist time I tested they’re buring same time. the second 8800mAh run half hours than 4400mAh battery.
Battery and lamp are new. The test is their first performance.
So Is that ture that 8800mAh battery pack have to be dicarged and then charged 8-10 times to get it fully developed, and in it’s first several using 8800mAh can’t show much difference than 4400mAh.
Or I’m mis-guided.

That doesn't make sense to me. The 8800mAh pack should show significant runtime difference even during it's first use (after first full charge). Something seems fishy.

You are right in thinking it should run for twice as long.

If you purchased it recently I would ask for a refund, I suspect the rating is fake or you have one that is defective.

ooo Rating is false… I wouldnt even want to imagine its defective :zipper_mouth_face:

Perhaps you should post links on the battery packs. Usually a battery pack runs at 8.4v. If the 8800mAh battery pack you have is a 4.2v pack then it’s only the same capacity as a battery of 8.4v at 4400mAh.

I’d say someone got the math wrong when advertising the battery pack as 8800mAh (4.2v) when it’s actually 4400mAh (8.4v), or falsely advertised as Chinese battery packs tend to be of low quality.

Which pack? Show and deskribier it and we can Check if it theoretical can be a 8Ah.
Show both Packs.

Runtime isn’t everything on a not regulated light, because decreasing voltage leads to lower current that causes longer(but dimmer) runtime…

But as others have suggested i think also you have a Dream rating like everytime.
