I like the Acebeam Pokelit 2AA! 
I kind of wish Acebeam would sell it without the weird battery for a few dollars less for those who just want to stick lithium AAs in it for a glovebox light.

Yeah, I was gonna say the Acebeam Pokomon is pretty nice, always starts on low, forward-clicky / momentary-on switch is rare and much appreciated, and I personally reeeeeally like that weirdo battery.
Bunch of others kinda fell down the memory hole. Think I got 1-2 Sofirns in that flavor. Also a LuxPro 2AA with a hideous pure-evil G3 emitter, but with diffusion film is actually quite a nice light.
Have one of those Luxpro as well, heavy duty little sucker and yeah Dog Vomit emitter.
One my Fav’s is the discontinued Zanflare F2.

Yeh, definitely go with the diffusion film.
2AA light anyway, so ain’t gonna be belting out the lemons to even care about it being a thrower, so make it an actually useful beam with the film.
I did that to the Tacklife tank (thing’s f’n indestructible), the bigger LuxPro, and debating slapping some on my DC7 (Q8ish light with usb-c) because I rarely need that much throw from a quad anyway.
I don’t recall if I ever got a F2, though. Hmm.
I have Convoy T4 519A 4500k and I am very satisfied with it.
I also have Zanflare F2 with warmer version of Cree Xp-G2 and it is my first ‘BLF adviced’ flashlight and I use it a lot of time.
I had purchased 5 or 6 Zanflare F2 and I measure tailcup current and get 60ma, 200 ma, 1000ma on low, medium high but one of them have 1200 ma on high and it was more powerful than others and I took that for myself. Others I give as a gift to cousins and friend.
After 5-6 years every of them work after heavy everyday usage.
My Zanflare F2 was with me in many adventures like when I was blocked by 1 meter snow in vilage house 5 days without electrical supply and I have zanflare and found in house of my uncle a bunch of cheapest chinese carbon zinc AA batteries which cost 1 euro for 4x4 packs and which only are good for small transistor radio receiver and wall clock.
After I discharge my energizer AA 2300 mah which was in Zanflare, I try carbon zinc on low mode and I was surprised when I get about 6-7 hours of working in low mode which is about 15 lumens and was very useful in house and around.
That is one of good and useful things with AA format of batteries…
