A Desert Dweller in your midst.....

Howdy from the arid Southwest…(Arizona)

As many of you have, I’ve drifted in from another forum, and happy I took a look around. Great group over here!

I found the “LIGHT” while researching the reason for my many alkaline battery leaks. Well, one thing lead to another and 6 months later I have a small collection of “light tubes”, and many friends (as well as my wife) questioning my sanity. Hell, I question my sanity. “It’s just a flashlight”……

Unfortunately one can’t go to a retail store to look at and handle most lights, so I’ve been “renting” lights to find the perfect fit, and the occassional collectable. (well, that’s the story I told my wife…lol) Many bought, tried, a few sold. I have found for normal usage, a side switch is my preferance, although I keep a SF combat light next to the HK’s on the nightstand.

I hope to learn and share and have a good time.

Stuff I like:

Mr Bulk, Peak, McGizmo, Vinh mods, pocket lights, throwers and aspherics.

Cheers,

Kevin

welcome!

Welcome aboard Hkdude.

I spent a week near Phoenix one time in July. Man, that place can get scary hot.

Hope you enjoy your time here.

I didn’t realize yous an Arizona what parts you from?

It's nice of you to join us, Hkdude!

Welcome Hkdude from a fellow Arizonian.

light junkie, we are neighbors. I too live about 25 miles south of Tucson.

nice to meet a neighbor ! Feel free to send me a P M sometime!

Welcome. Leave your sanity at the door.

Howdy and welcome aboard.

Definately a friendly group here.

I see a few neighbors here, I’m in Tempe, just a couple miles from ASU…and the views are amazing, if ya get my drift.

Hey Light junkie and ACruceSalus, I lived and loved Tucson for a few years back in 78-80. Tucson is much more laid back than Phoenix, and 5~10 degrees cooler in the summer. Plus you get the awesome Desert Thunderstorms folks from back east can’t imagine. That is a LIGHT show like no other.

May have a new flashie in Tucson soon, a sister I’m introducing to the faith. She is hooked already….

Cheers!
