A Few Good Deals on Knives

A Few Good Deals

Here’s a nice small knife for anyone looking for an edc with an 18” blade – and its only $4.99 + $.31 tax = $5.30 Total. You may need a large pocket and it may scare a few of the locals but sometimes a good edc will have that affect.

Here’s a solidly built 3-1/16” skeletonized folder complete with framelock, thumb stud, Torx Screw secured pillars, comfortable index finger choil and a genuine stainless blade that’s on sale for $3.99 + $.25 tax = $4.24. (This one could actually make do in a pinch.)

And here’s the “piece de resistance” - a beautiful Ozark Trail Pocket Knife that gives true meaning to the word Budget. At $1.00 + $.06 tax = $1.06 Total Cost, it’s unlikely to get your significant other at all upset with your latest purchase.

Note that total cost for all three knives is $10.60 including Mass. Tax!

I actually checked out that machete last time I was at a HF. It is too thin and bends easy. I don’t think it would work well.

That Ozark folder… the plastic the handle is made of is so flimsy it’s not even safe to sell. You can snap the blade outta that plastic without realizing your putting any prying forces on it.

All three are junk.

Hi Speedsix!

That was my point. This was written "tongue in cheek" - a machete as an edc should have been the "tip off." Sorry that people took the post seriously.

Irony and sarcasm don't work on the internet when you don't use the according smileys:

Sorry about the misunderstanding! :X

I’ve been in the market for a decent budget machete. I saw the one at HF, and even for $5 I couldn’t pull the trigger. What do you guys like for a budget minded machete these days?

Ontario US issue is the Solarforce of machetes. There are some cheaper but nothing is better for the money. About $20-25 but will work better than a cheaper one and last forever. I am still on my original one I got when I was 11 years old. I am 38 now and have used it from everything from trimming the hedges to chopping down medium sized trees and limbing them.

I’ve ordered plenty of knives from Dealextreme… and the steal they use is very good… one of my favs is:

Wiser words were never spoken. ;-)

This “gerber” knife has a thin liner lock.
(In french, the word “gerber” means “to puke”).
