I thoroughly enjoyed the video .

Thanks for sharing .

can’t see the video,is this for a ninja only?

Here's a link that should take you to it

Thanks for taking the time to make the video and for posting it. Very well done.

John.

Hi Dan. Call me silly but I never opened this post before as I thought that it was a movie review. I dont watch many movies. What can I say, I’d love to see more. The effort and skill in programming and setting up I could not start to understand. It gave us all a little more incite into light building. I could not agree more on your sentiments about this being a hobby and not a business hence the enjoyment. Thanks again and cheers. I’ll not think your a movie reviewer now.

That is amazing, thank you, I love the voiceover and the music, production is great as well as the actual machining.
Work of art.

Do you have a website? I tried googling with no luck.
Awesome work.

Wonderful video. What does a mill set-up like this generally cost?

Amazing stuff, Dan! Thanks for sharing! :)

Thanks MRsDNF, Glad you found it. I'm with you on the movies... just never got into those too much. I'd rather do something!!

Once again, Many Thanks. Dan.

Thank you sir! As long as my Aussie friends like it I know its ok!!

Dan.

Thanks JohnnyMac! You're welcome. Dan.

The mill isn't bad. Those little ones like that are about $4000.00 nicely equipped with the 4th axis. The CAD /CAM software for that particular job is what hurts. I have to tell you... that's an expensive program.... and I had to lie to it to make it do that job. The software will do honestly about anything you can imagine. Without writing a small book, I can't explain WHY I had to lie to it but I did. Most of the time I don't however.

Glad you enjoyed it... I'll do some more as I can. Many Thanks. Dan.

Thank You Sir. I own a website for my lights but I have never set it up. I am truly so blessed with enough lights to make that I have been hesitant to advertise them. I get close now and again but I chicken out. I stay one to three behind and I just don't like the pressure beyond that. Besides... I like to play now and again!! Ha! I do have a site for the machines & etc... Here it is. I hope its ok for me to put that in here.

Thanks for watching and the comments. Dan.

Exceptional work Dan! Thank you for sharing that, truly a sight to behold! That’s the kind of thing I could stand and watch all day, right over your shoulder, heck, I’d run the camera for the privilege of seeing it first hand! The sounds of the machines, the smell of the metal, the hot WD-40, that moment of reveal when the perfection comes clear…how rewarding!

Lucky man. Lucky to have such talents and skills, the proper equipment and the know-how to create art in high-tech aerospace alloys…wow! I’m more than a little bit jealous…

Well done!

Thank You Dale.

Yes sir... over saying "Lucky" I prefer "Blessed". I seldom if ever walk in my shop that I don't realize how lucky I am to have the machines that I do and can do something with them.

YOU are blessed as well.... we are all if we will think about it. YOU do great hand made work as do so may others in this group. My goodness, I looked last evening at OL's Red Trio and like with your chopped mini, and the work you did on it.... I am alwas in awe! With Thanksgiving coming... we all need to sincerely just take a moment and realize what we DO have.

As always, Thank you for your comments!! Dan.

P.S. ... I can always use a camera driver!!!

Wish there were a short drive, from the middle of Texas to the outer edges.

My Canon 5DMkII does full HD video on a full frame sensor. Gorgeous imagery! I’d love to shoot a series of you running a piece through the hoops.

Edit: It’s “only” a 6 hour drive to my wife’s folks in Mississippi, it would take 7 hours to reach you… and never leave the State!
