A note on patience...

i was always nervous about ordering from china for the first time. war stories and all that.

my first was the group buy n10sivern did with the 14xx UF lights… i got several, then ordered more hosts myself for a customer/friend

really quick. both GB and my own order. i was impressed.

i wouldnt order before or after new years though, lol…

I ordered 2 “in stock” lights from FT on 16th January (same light).
One shipped on the 18th the other didn”t.
Over a week later after contacting FT I was told it was out of stock & they were waiting for a delivery.
I was told it would be available 5th Feb, then 8th Feb, then 11th Feb, then 14th Feb.
Then I was told it had been lost between the seller & post Office.
Then I was told it had been shipped & was on the plane.
Then on Friday I was told it hadn”t been shipped, it was lost & to wait another 2 weeks & if it didn”t turn up/appear in tracking they would
” If you still not get this status updated by then, we will submit enquiry to the origin post to institute investigation further process”
So I have absolutely no idea what is going on :person_facepalming:

You have to wonder what’s going on but trying to guess or make assumptions doesn’t help other than as a way to pass the time. It’s natural to get frustrated but that too doesn’t help and only ruins your day. The op is right, you simply have to wait, communicating politely as needed, using the vendors CS right up until it’s time to contact PP. For all you know both lights were shipped together but only one ticket made out. Who knows?

The lights were 2 separate orders one to me & one to another member in a different country.
His shipped 2 days after I placed the order & arrived a few weeks later.
Mine never shipped & I was told it was out of stock.
Since then I was given about 4 different dates that it would be back in stock, it has been shipped, hasn”t been shipped, has been lost, hasn”t been lost etc etc.
Now going on for 2 months after ordering & paying I have been told that it got lost between the seller & the PO & to wait another 2 weeks to see if it appears in the system before they will contact the seller/PO.
This means waiting another 2 weeks, then probably another couple of weeks whilst they agree what has happened then I will be offered a refund or a replacement.
If I go for the replacement then that will take 3-4 weeks to arrive so I will be looking at early May at best before I can hold a light I ordered mid January.
I am not being impatient & I am letting this saga run it”s course.
I have only contacted FT CS twice during this, so far, 2 month episode.
I am just reporting my experience.

And a sad “experience” it is mate!!! :person_facepalming:

But if (hopefully) & when it does show up, you will be a happy camper…… I promise you that!!! :+1:

Hold on tight to that glimmer of hope……… …… :innocent:

You’re doing the best you can in a bad situation. I didn’t mean to imply otherwise.

Sorry I didn”t mean to come across as if I had taken offence to your post, I hadn”t :+1:
At one point FT tracking even showed that it had made it to the airport & was waiting to go on the plane.
Now though FT are saying that it got lost between the seller & PO & the PO never physically received it.
I have been pretty fortunate with ordering from China & have only ever had 2 package never reach me out of dozens & dozens of orders.
One of those was actually lost by the local courier company in my own country so it had got all the way from China to the UK then been lost between the courier companies depot & my home which is about 25 miles, & it never turned up.
The wait will go on

I had more mail stolen from my mail box than messed up by overseas shippers. Now I have a locked box. My longest ordeal was 8 months and not a shipping issue but that was mostly due to email not being a reliable communication conduit. It simply doesn’t work sometimes. The way your description was written it read as humorous in a :person_facepalming: sort of way.

It is humorous… in a sick, sad, dastardly sort of way ’Rufusbduck.

‘bella-headlight’ after doing a good deed for a possible no-a-count outlawish type BLF member on another continent has learned first hand the meaning of the saying……… “No Good Deed Goes Unpunished”. … :open_mouth:

IF, he had only placed his order first he would be enjoying the SRK while said member would be left twiddling his thumbs waiting on the FT Detectives, The Pink Panther, Inspector Clouseau, or someone to solve this mystery. :person_facepalming:

But hat’s off to ‘b-headlight’……… he is still hoping for the best and I am sure it will come his way.

Sooner or later anyway…….
.
.

EDIT: Never fear he is on the job now. I predict a speedy resolution. :+1:

Just like to say that despite the confusing messages from FT, including the last message on Friday stating that the light had been lost between the seller & Post Office it turned up at my house yesterday
Oh & BTW it was worth waiting for :+1:

That is impressive! :+1:
