A quick share for the musicians here on the forum

I know there’s a few of us here.

I was pretty serious about music in my younger years. Attended Berklee after H/S and played actively until my son came along. All that took a back seat to being a Scoutmaster, soccer/baseball coach etc. I never sold my drums though knowing I’d get back to it someday.

Someday is now here, I started playing again last fall and 6 months later I find myself lucky enough to be with four fantastic musicians. Similar interests (pretty much anything), similar commitment level, similar talent, overall great chemistry.

We played our first gig about 4 weeks ago and had a blast, man, it’s good to be playing again.

This Saturday we have our second gig but it will be different than any I’ve played in the past because…
My son’s band will be opening for us!

I may have to dust off the old video camera for this.

Rock On !

Video or it didn't happen .

But here’s a few pictures,

Great gig, I never even considered that I may someday play a gig with my son. Brings a whole new dimension to playing music, at least for me it does.

That is so awesome…congrats! I play occassionally with my son in our church worship band. I attempt to play guitar and my son plays bass…good times!

Awesome! Nothing really like sharing the same passion with your kids!
I’m a drummer too and I had dreams of going to Berklee a long time ago, but the gods did not will it so. I still mess around with friends though

Not a (great) muso myself,
But I'm FOH engineer weekly for my church and get to play with some nice equipment.
