This is what I hate about DX, I ordered the A60 and 2 sets of TF batteries on Saturday and they still have not shipped.
You order yours a day later and it ships on Wed.
Frustrating.
I would like to order more things from them, but not until this order shows up.
Rookie mistake on my part.
Can I cancel the order that still has not shipped and reorder the items in multiple orders or am I screwed on this order?
I ordered the stuff a week ago and still no shipment, no tracking, nothing.
Don’t worry about it Muto. While I don’t doubt what people are saying here about multiple items per order, I’m struggling to comprehend how it could be possible for 2 of the same item to take significantly longer to ship than just one, assuming that there are in fact at least 2 in stock.
EDIT: Just re-read your post. For some reason I thought you had ordered 2 x A60’s. Ordering the batteries separately probably would have been a good idea, since they are probably what is holding up your order.
I disagree with this one ...if it's the same item I'd order 3 and save using bulk rate etc and get a lower overall price ..If you're talking about mixed orders i'd seperate them and make two orders ..if they have one ... they have two .:P
The A60 is quite a well made little light and its a serious over-performer for the price. Ideal little thrower with somewhat wider beam than pencil beam aspherics, and a little useful spill as well.
Can confirm it makes an excellent rifle mounted hunter torch.
Yesterday I received 2 A60’s. this light definitely throws. Mine pulls 2a off my SF battery. Used the light about 5 minutes then tore it down and swapped out the led to a green xre. This is a green light throwing mofo! I also have a small sun c10 that is green also this will be a super shootout of green throwers. My bet is on the C10 direct drive. With the green xre in it only pulls 1.3a with the same battery.
my a60 does not have memory and have that annoying next mode switch.
is everybody elses the same way? now i gotta remember each time i finish using it, i got to switch it over to strobe mode so that next time i use it, it will turn on in high mode.
Is this one of those lights that after a capacitor discharges it loses the "memory" and reverts back to the start of the sequence? I've seen postings on a mod to drain the capacitor quicker (I'm sure it was a different model light, but I don't remember which it was.)
all of these kind of driver’s behavior can be solved with a resistor parallel with the “memory” capacitor,
after that, the light will always start in high mode
