Ace beams save the day !!

So every night i and one of my two sons walk the dogs every night to empty out for the night and we take turns taking different lights to compare beams throw etc. ., so about 200 yards from the front door my son yells for me to stop and sure enough there was a 7” yes inch not foot rattle snake about 3 ’infront of me which was close enough and big enough to almost send me into cardiac arrest lol so tonight we decided on taking the Acebeam x60 with the xhp70 and Acebeam 40m with the mtg2 which help light up the area and clearly identify the trespasser and escort off the property with a shovel anyhow that was enough exitement for me and I called it a night and came in .

Don’t you mean microbluebear saved the day?

microbluebear is the manufacturer s name but the lights say acebeam?anyhow as small as the snake was by tomorrow in my mind and everyone I yell it will have grown to the size of an anaconda lol

Hooray for microbluebear

That was the nice thing about the "old days" of those hot Incandescent Mag mods. You could have fried the snake right there, with the light and made a sausage sammich.

lol well I’m today’s politically correct world you can’t hurt a sale 9n the reptile

Was it last year or the year before? The wife and I were hiking in Shenandoah and within an hour apart we encountered 2 rattlers sitting on the edge of the trail. Both times I spotted them… But not after my wife had casually strolled less than a foot away from each. They didn’t even twitch. She encounters them several times a year while on the job- and she says if they feel threatened you’ll hear them before you see them. Believe it or not, there ain’t a whole lot of snake bites reported in the park despite how often people encounter the snakes. Lime disease on the other hand is a big problem. Park crews don’t even carry snake bite kits.
