No K40 S Reviews ….AlexGT

Looks like the same light as the k40l but with an XP-L HI instead.

Hopefully a member has one

I bought the missus a k40m with the mtg2 led awesome light really like the magnetic ring switch.
I guess the s would throw further with less spill

be sure to do a review if you pull the trigger on one

ps Panasonic protected 3400 cells are to long for it been thinking of clipping the springs.

Hi losttheplot I have the original Supbeam and the Acebeam with the Cree xm-L2 and I am very pleased with them both,I was just testing the water to see if a member had one as I could not find the full spec on them.As for Billy x and AlexGt your as useful as a Chocolate Teapot

Acebeam says 1500lm and 1030 throw. I’d suspect the only thing they changed from the k40L is the emitter. So if you know the amps on that just translate it to the HI version.

Personally I find the k40’s a bit bulky no? 1500lm? Didn’t know you could push it that hard. Personally I think the Olight and even the Maxtoch Sniper GB is better, they can get the same 1km throw without pushing it to 1500lm.

Ye have been on their website validum….they are great flashlights for what we need them for .

The k40 head diameter is 13mm larger than the M3XS-UT. I just feel like, what can’t the k40 throw better. The design of the reflector should be revisited.

The S in K40S is for special not plural.
Now where’s my Easter teapot?

Hi Kev1. I have the original Supbeam K40 (one of the first ever produced) and it has been modded - slight current boost and using a dedomed xm-l.
I have no idea how many lumens it puts out, but it does a true 320kcd.

So the specs listed for the K40s (265 kcd) is a bit underwhelming, if you know what I mean.
Both the Maxtorch and the Olight achieve that figure in a smaller, lighter package.

On its way mate Special delivery lol

Hm starting to sway towards the Olight now,no rush to get one at the moment but many thanks for the input guys

I own the Supbeam K40 & Acebeam K40M and they are both excellent lights with flawless performance. I bought an Olight M2X-UT and I have issues with it switching modes.
