My beloved Acebeam L16 charging board broke down,
And now I just ordered this driver board to hookup the stock xhp35 led to this board hoping it will come back to life!!!
Anyone know if this will work or what should I do to bring my L16 back to life??

Does the light not work or just the charging portion?
No sir,
I was cleaning the attic and using the turbo quite a lot,
The Light went dead after some use,
So I took the light apart. To see what’s going on in there,
And soldered the driver back to led pcb and turned it on,
a tail of white smoke came out of the housing and she never came back to life again.
Waiting on this part to bring my trusty dead L16 back to life!!!
I’ve never owned one but I believe all XHP35 are 12v.
If you did manage to fit that board in the light it’s not going to be able to power a 12v led.
That said, I’m not familiar with what type of electronics acebeam uses in their tailcaps.
So do I need something like this??
I m okey with using tail switch for on off as my use will be quick few seconds inspection and that’s it.
If anyone can help do I need more parts with this board or just get this driver?

Wait what. The LED wires de-soldered themselves from the heat of multiple turbo activations?! Sounds like something shorted when you re-assembled the light (MCPCB on the back of the reflector?)
Unless you’re desperate to repair this light for sentimental reasons, you might be better just buying a new light… I googled the V1 version and didn’t get many hits, so it’s hard to say what drivers will fit, we don’t even know the original driver dimensions so can’t advise if the replacements you’ve linked will fit.
Given the light is toast in its original format, perhaps decide if you want to replace the LED while you’re at it, if you used a 3V LED, you might find more driver options.
If you’re shopping for a new light and want similar performance, This review of the original L16 measured an output of 1700lm and 513m of throw (to 0.25 lux, I assume).
Acebeam’s warranty says it’s ten years, so your L16 should be covered, in theory. In practice, I’ve seen complaints from people who tried to use the warranty in the past.
The L16 does not have a simple mechanical tailswitch. It’s actually an electronic switch using nested body tubes for communication with the driver, so trying to make that work with off the shelf driver boards is not a beginner-friendly modification. It would be easier to use a sideswitch driver and ignore the tailswitch.
On the other hand, if you’re looking for similar performance with a simple tailswitch, a Convoy M1 or M21B with SFT40 LED will get you that. The M21F will do the same with a sideswitch, and should out-throw the original L16 by a bit.
If you have a larger budget and you’re not mad at Acebeam, the L16 v2 is great.

So yeah took some snaps to give guys and idea what the driver for my beloved L16 measures on the inside,
I was thinking of ordering this driver which will power the led from 4v to 12v and then pair this driver with the board that I posted in my first post that 3 pcs which has sub c charging and a micro switch built in!!!
What u guys think???
Flashlight design is complicated. Fix old or get new stock driver or buy new flashlight.
