The blue in the middle just seems like chromatic aberration.
I’m not sure why there would be a blocked hole in the center, it is an aspheric light not a reflector light.
They may be using a phosphor with the laser diode placed behind it, which would require a piece of light-absorbing material directly in the center of the lens to prevent laser light form leaking.
If the center of the lens is blocked then that would create the “hole” that you can see in the video, and regular chromatic aberration would make it look blue.
At farther distances this hole and the blue tint would disappear.

The light is fixed focus single mode. Chromatic aberration is pretty significant. Could see no hole though. Tint differences were visible up to 20-30m. As it was indoors I could not check further distances.

Sometimes things are only done because they can be done. Most of us do have many lights with zero practical use

no one has seen a beam now, only a spot in a bright exhibition hall.

Aspheric lights don’t have real Spill. Only the light reflected off of the internals of the flashlight exit the light as Spill.

No.
Corona happens to reflector flashlights that have a gradual decrease in intensity around the spot.
Aspheric lights have only a spot, no spill or corona.

I know that cprpna heppens in reflector flashlight cause of the led is not a source perfectly fitting the focus point of the paraboliod.
If the focus is in the center of the led, every other lighting source os not collimated to the distance, so that it’s created a corona.

We all know that WL20 has not any reflector…but someone saw a light around the spot.

Even if you are not hunter get yourself lets say 6x mag monocular and pair or mount 1mcd flashlight on it and you’ll see things you did not even noticed before.

Imho there is nothing more impressive than super thrower flashlight (laser or led).
Especially if it is available in small, light and portable configuration or if you have zooming flood to throw ability. I would never ask for better light.
Lumens can’t impress me unless they are accordingly followed by lux. I have 20 000 + lumens street light in front of my house and I only have headache from that

More importantly for me, it means being able to see further down a passage. Even super throwers like the GT have enough spill to blind me. If this illuminates nearby objects far less than any zoomie, then it’ll be a big win for it. Given the rated throw with such few lumens, I’m expected far fewer lumens spilling outside of the hotspot. Sometimes only illuminating what’s hit by the hotspot is desirable.
