Nope, sorry. Maybe that is good enough for you, but it’s not enough detail for me.

I would need to see and understand each persons test procedure. I would throw out all the measurements where there where obvious mistakes made and focus on the few that seemed fairly scientific before I would come to a “generalized” conclusion.

To know for sure would require a fairly large integrating sphere that used a calibrated source as a reference. Maybe it’s 60k lumen, maybe less, maybe more. Who knows.

This is just me, though. Everyone else can believe whatever they want. I am fine with that.

I dont have a x70. I have no clue… i did came up with some ratio…

Haikelite mt09r triple xhp70.2 put out 17000 lumen… x70 have 12 xhp70.2, so that should put out 68,000 lumen…

Maybe around 60000 or something…

But the three XHP70.2 in the MT09R are pushed much harder by the 4x 18650. Don’t think the 12x 18650 can push the 12x XHP70.2 as hard.

Pushing hard is just one variable of equation. Heatsinking is very important to maintain output.
17000/3 = 5666 lumens per LED
58000/12 = 4833 lumens per LED (I deduct about 2000 lumens for XHP35-HI)
X70 is not pushing as hard as MT09R. It doesn’t need to in order to hit 60k lumens.

I received my X70 this week so I took it out on my nightly walk and it is a lot more practical than I thought it would be. I mostly ran this light in Power mode using primarily medium and high which put out a nice even spread of light without any heat issues. I of course blasted high whenever I got a chance but it really is a ridiculous amount of light that’s too much for most situations. Although the fan is a nice accessory I chose not too use it and I didn’t have any heat issues, even with longer turbo run times. It was barely 30f last night so that was certainly an advantage for the flashlight. After playing for over an hour I still had a green battery indicator, so plenty of juice left in the tank so this flashlight is super practical for a lumen addict.

Yep, the center xhp35 does a nice job of rounding out the beam profile.

I run my X70 on ultra low and I feel it is plenty of light for walking. I love the xhp35 in the middle because it allows me to know exactly where i am pointing the light. This flashlight still makes me giggle.

I think Kawiboy is over simplifying. Acebeam may simply be driving the xhp35-HI too hard.

Acebeam SHOULD have designed the driver as two different circuits. If they are all combined on one driver board there may be unintended interactions.

It’s way too complicated to just generalize. You have to troubleshoot every little part to find the actual problem.

I think Kawiboy is over simplifying. Acebeam may simply be driving the xhp35-HI too hard.

Maybe they were pushing the 35, maybe the buck/current spiked the little 35, maybe it’s own driver would of worked, maybe not?

Maybe the 12 heat generating monsters that surround this tiny little emitter in the middle weakened and cooked the little 35 and it went poof? Maybe not?

But I’m sure the EE’s and Designer’s with degrees at Acebeam will come up with a solution or band-aid… maybe…maybe not…

Could a would a should a just put the 13th 70 in the middle…KISStupid…
