I wouldnt hold your breath for 219b versions on banggood.
They managed to get hold of some old LEDs, i suspect they will sell them on their own devices for as long as they last, then they might be gone again, forever.
Pity they arent doing the SW35 or even SW40 though. I find the SW45 too cold.
If you really want one you could always buy from LEDs and make your own, ive been thinking about it

I ordered the PL47 with Nichia E21A R9080 4500K when they made it available on their website. But they said it wouldn’t work with the current optics, so they offered to send me the 219B for the same price. Which I took, waiting for it to ship. They claim it is Nichia 219B SW45k R9080 4500K, as it is listed on their site right now. They have a code to take 15% off their site “FFSALEBLF”,I see it as an ad on the forum sometimes. Might as well order it if you want it.

Anyone know if the banggood models are using the fa3 sst-20 400k emitters yet?
It seems fireflies moved a while ago on their website.
My rot66 I ordered like 4 months ago from banggood is just too green for my liking, from what I’ve read it’s most likley the older bin they were using.

Don’t use protected cells in this light.
First, it will not work at it’s full power.
Second, button top protected cells are longer than unprotected flat top cells, which will put a huge amount of pressure in the springs and will eventually damage them.
Third, it is probable that the head doesn’t screw in completely tight.

So, better to use unprotected ~~flat~~ button top cells, and high-drain cells, in case you want to have the max output from it!

Flat tops won't work or at least are not recommended as the ROT66 gen 2 has a brass ring as positive contact for all three cells. The positive cell contacts ride on that ring while screwing the head on. Unprotected button top cells really are the only choice that makes sense here.

Well, then why am I using 3 unprotected flat top Sony VTC6 on my ROT66 GEN II and it works flawlessly?

In my cells they are flat and I guess they do not protrude at all.
Still, given your well stated point, I edited my suggestion above, to prevent users from damaging the light or the cells.

well i avoid this light then. I want to use the protected Imalent Cells. I dont care if the Light has 10.000 Lumen or 8800 Lumen on Turbo, but if the protected dont fit, its not the right Flashlight for me, sadly.

Ok I guess this is an issue. However, not a safety issue in this particular light I suppose, as the negative battery contact is connected to the battery tube at all times anyway. Still, they should've rounded off those edges. The batteries get pushed to one side while screwing on the head (since the button tops rub against the positive contact ring in the head) while also slowly getting pushed down because, well, you're screwing the head down.
