Advice for a good focus-zoomie headlight

I’m looking for a good zoomie headlight having wide angle zoom out pattern (of course with xml). I checked lots of lights from different suppliers but, couldn’t decide. If anyone has experiances with more than one of them could you please give some suggestions.

or any other else. Thanks in advance

Avoid the 1st one, it is very bad quality. The 5th I don’t like this style, all the weight on front, not good for running.

2-3-4 look better, although these type of cheap headlights are in general of poor quality. Numbers 2 & 3 have 2 batteries and the 4th only one, so that makes a difference. However, they include useless charger and batteries (that probably should be dumped away immediately before you burn your house), which could mean that the later had a better built/quality (just a possibility). For the price of a lunch, you probably can risk with any of them and see what happens. If you do please report your impressions, I am curious about the boruit and the Hedeli but probably I would order the 1x 18650 model (4th option, because I have trier it and it is OK). In any case, the lumens claimed by all of them are largely exaggerated (twice or thrice the real thing). So don’t follow on that.

On similar designs I have tried these two models and they are OK:

Thank you Iker,
I think, your ranking is different than mine, because my third has 2 batteries and one of your suggestions is same with my fourth. Anyway, between your two which one has wider zoom out beam angle?

Sorry, I have edited many mistakes because I mistook the orded of the links. Now should be OK. In terms of zoom most if not all these zooms I have tried are pretty much the same. None of them is floody enough for me and make an umconfortable tunnel effect.

But why a zoomie headlamp?

Yeah, I agree, I started thinking that it was necessary and now I only use models without zoom because I just want nice uniform flood, withoug blinding contrasts, that is powerful enough to give me reaction time when I skate or bike. I think that a lot of the cheap zoom headlights are targeted for “non-educated” flasholics using WOW-strategy. That explains that they have evolved to the cheapest possible piece of plastic and to include chargers and batteries, for less and less.

Because, i will use the headlamp for fishing, sometimes throw also needed. I have Ultrafire H2 but, throw is not enough. So i just want to try a zoomie with the best flood

A headlamp for biking or moving is probably a much different animal than one used for working on the car or any close-up work .

I always think of headlamps in this secondary sense .A small AA couple hundred lumen headlamp does about 95% of everything I need it to do.

even a AA headlamp is about 7 thousand times brighter than the 5MM petzl junk people were so proud of years ago.

the above question is really a pretty good one ...What do you need a headlamp for ? and why a zoomie ?

i like them lightweight and small

i pulled the trigger for this one. I will share my opinions when i got it.
