Advice on configuration for Emisar DW4

I am speccing a DW4 at the moment and I am somewhat paralysed by the amount of choice Hank offers!

I’m intending to principally wear it on my head for walking/running off road. So, since my main objective is to not fall over I wan’t something fairly floody. I also want it to be reasonably bright without burning my forehead!

Given this I am thinking boost driver option with 4 x 519A 4500k (or maybe 3500). However, I am also flirting with dual channel with 2 x W1 and 2 x 519A - my thinking being that this would probably give a bright enough flood to see where I am going on the 519A channel with the added bonus of instant switching to the throwy W1s if I see anything interesting further away I want to get a look at.

Any thoughts/experiences appreciated to assist with the burden of choice! - particularly in respect of 519As which I have no experience with.

I recommend this basic configuration if you want around 4500k:

Dedomed 519As 5700k.
Boost driver.

This should give you a well balanced beam and great brightness regulation

I mailed him and asked for the 2x4500k domed + 2x5700k de-domed, paired with the boost driver. K should be fairly the same, and a bit rosier. Throw and flood but single ch. I think the boost is the way best option here, runtimes are so much better.

I received my DW4 with boost driver and xpl-hi a few days ago.

Headband quality is good but the silicone straps don’t seem to line up with the slots in the body. It’s also a heavy light, with a lot of weight at the head end, so for me it feels unbalanced. For a running headlamp, I’d rather use my ZL H600w, or my Skilhunt H04.
