I’ve finally figured out what my preferred battery type is, the 10180, and of course it’s a relatively in the flashlight world. But looking around, I’ve seen a few examples of AAA lights that have been modified to use the 10180. What sorts of things do I need to know about or consider before I try something like this? It’s not as simple as cutting the body to the correct length, is it?
No, you will also need a driver to control the current. I suggest an Oshpark tiny10 with an mcu from RMM set to maybe 30% duty cycle on high.
