"ahorton has listed a special price":http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?374275-New-Ahorton-lenses-coming-soon&p=4316066 on his lenses over at CPF while he waits for new stock to come in. The new stock should arrive very soon, so the sale will be over very soon. (mid December)
In his sales thread he says that group buys are welcome. Is there any interest in doing that?
I'm down for 4 units (or more if we were ordering a ton).
I haven't asked him whether he's willing to do individual shipments for a GB. I definitely do not have time to re-ship lenses right now, so unfortunately I'm NOT offering to do that.
Here are the SALE prices:

Bump! Once we hit 20+ you’ll be able to order 6x lenses for the regular price of one. Another 5 lens orders in the GB will put us at the 20+ level.
Search for saabluster’s DEFT EDC Enthusiast to see what can be done with this lens. (over 80Kcd in a small-head 18650 form factor - at 1.4 amps!!) AFAIK there is not a better aspheric anywhere near this small size.
Do we need to register at CPF? Does price include shipping? Any good, easy DIY alternatives to the pricey spacers he sells? I'm thinking 6, but if enough join to try for 100, I'll take 10.
Thanks guys. I’ve dropped a line to ahorton on CPF to figure out shipping for certain.
RE: the spacers, I’m sure that some alternatives will present themselves although I have not gotten that far myself. For a basic spacer you can simply cut down a P60 reflector to the proper distance and paint it black.
EDIT: I don’t see why registration at CPF would be required, but I’ll ask about that too in order to be certain.
Ahorton does need to do the GB as a single shipment, so we will need to restrict it to USA.
Cat eyes, since you’re offering to handle the re-shipping can you lay out some shipping costs for us? Hopefully between that info and ahorton’s generous $4.50/pc price we’ll attract a few additional people. (100 pcs worth J) )
The mass of each lens is a little under 12g. However, you should allow for packaging too.
I’m not planning to offer any other sizes with this order. Setting up a new lens will cost about $10,000 plus at least six months. Let me know if you’re still interested. Personally I don’t think I have the emotional strength to go through it again.
If you hit 100 lenses, then I can do $3.6 each. However, I suggest that you fix the price at $4.5 each, and if you reach a high enough quantity, then the organiser can have a little reward for all their time repackaging and sending.
