I happened upon a thread i had posted in (Q10 one) but did not get a reminder in the unread topics link about it.
So i am assuming all pre upgrade watched threads are gone?
People have to manually mark old threads as tracking or watching. Use the “My Participation” link in the sidebar to see which threads you posted in, and then … (sigh) … go through each one to mark them as “tracking”.
This process can be sped up by changing your preferences first, to make it automatically track any thread you view. Then it’s just one click, and then “back” or “close tab”. But I haven’t found a faster way than clicking on each one individually.
Another bug thats driving me crazy, when i add a smilie and try to keep tying it keeps putting the smilie at the beginning of the thread, replacing the first “[” of what i quoted.
So i had to post this in a new post rather than two posts ago
It is unfortunate that many threads i have posted in are not watched in the new system, some i remember (like what you got today) but many won’t come to mind unless i happen to browse BLF soon after a new post.
Hmm, I’m not seeing this happen. Could you please describe exactly what you tried to quote and how you tried to add the smiley if it happened in this thread?
quote=“sb56637, post:7, topic:217030”]

So i quoted your post by mouse selecting and am now going to add smilie by typing “:(”
Is there a way to perhaps extract a list of subscribed threads from the old database?
Kudos on the switch btw, discourse is a lovely, engaging forum platform and I love the fact BLF isn’t becoming one of the stale fora unchanged since 00’s. I can only imagine the amount of work needed to port an existing userbase and massive amounts of content between two radically different platforms <3
