Why would that thread get attention? Mostly it’s just people recommending quality cells over other quality cells.
People slagging AW cells off and recommending far cheaper or better options with Shadowww even stating that their 2200mAh batteries are worse than Ultrafires with discharge graph :D?
I realize the management over there is a bit protectionist with respect to the dealers they have an interest in supporting, but would they really shut down a factual discussion?
I was under the impression that it was a “bannable offense” to suggest another battery other than AW over there. I thought I read something like that when I signed up over there and then decided not to ever make a post when I got the dreaded red screen. :cowboy_hat_face:
Nothing like that is mentioned in the CPF Rules and FAQs. It would be absolutely laughable if it was. I’m not exactly a big fan of CPF, but they’re not that ridiculous.
AW isn’t that bad. It was pretty good and the ‘HI DRAIN’ battery of it’s day. It was the benchmark batteries to what are just like sanyo 2600s or panasonic ncr1850s today. 15 bucks for one or 30 bucks a pop as he refers to it is not bad, I mean not everybody can sell them 11-13 dollars and profit. A tad expensive, but probably as expensive as most 3400s or xtars today.
I wasn’t ragging on AW. I just found it odd that they’re letting that post go on since they seem to be a little sensitive when it comes to questioning the awesomeness of AW or Surefire over there. Wasn’t meant to be a serious post. Just having a little fun, guys…….
Why doesn’t BLF have an incandescent forum?
We just lump in-cans in the appropriate battery type - AA, AAA, 18650, others (c/d cells).
I think a lot of that stopped around the same time they picked up DX as a sponsor.
