Amazon Australia pricing? (Thorfire doing it right)

Hey lads so Thorfire sent me some lights to review as they are selling on Amazon Australia i went to check out some prices and they are great. I am not sure if Amazon.au has officially launched but they are open for business now!

To bad i can’t say the same for the rest of Amazon Australia. I like the Champion and Russell athletic shorts but they are double the price. On the international store they are around 10-15 USD and here they are 30 AUD. Works out cheaper to buy the clothes from overseas still. Ages ago i use to buy my Brooks GTS shoes from Amzon.com they where about 100 AUD compared to the 200 AUD here. Than brooks decided to not let Amazon sell to us also Asics done the same.

Thorfire has done it right!

VG10s

  • Amazon US is $21.35 US dollars which is around 28 AUD
  • Amazon AU $24.95 delivered
  • Banggood $31 AUD without coupon

VG15s

  • Amazon AU $22.85 AUD

Big thumbs up from me :+1:

I dont know if they will raise the prices later hopefully not and i am not just arse kissing here its actually good to see some decent prices.

I wonder what else Amazon AU will bring us? I have found Xtar but tickle me sideways its expensive lol Ah its not actually sold by Xtar. Give it a few weeks i guess.

Good to see Thorfire on Amazon Australia. I’m a big fan of some of their recent lights. Shame that many sellers are adding the “Australia tax”. Given the bad press today, I would hope that Amazon Australia prices fall in the near future.

I dont watch the news so i haven’t heard any thing.

I just read an article now.

I have seen a pricing errors posted online. I was surprised to to see who is selling online through Amazon like Tarocash.

Some one is selling Ozito stuff on there when its a Bunnings exclusive brand lol.

ThorFire also sent me a couple of torches to review, and while they’re both good lights I had been wondering whether they would also be good value at the Australian prices.

I was pleasantly surprised when I checked the product pages today - $19.85 for the C8s and $26.95 for the TK15S, with free postage, seem like good deals to me.

I’d be interested in checking out the VG15S. The TK15S is one of my favourite lights for light painting photography - so good I bought a second!

For the Aussies who were sent torches from Thorfire from the new AU Amazon store for review; Have any of you heard back from Thorfire after confirming receipt of the torches?

Late to the party again! I was going to start a similar thread.
I also received a flashlight for review, so some people will probably have a cry and call shill, however with the current pricing I believe that Thorfire are the best value lights available in Aus at the moment.
I have recommended to a no lights mate that he buys the C8s pack with cell and what looks like an MC1 charger for $28.xx.
