Still, for that price, what could go wrong?

Well this is BUDGET Light Forum after all. :laughing:

Beyond that 7 things about this flash did kinda get my attention.

1. It can handle supposedly up to 6 volts. Which if ya didn’t wanna trust CR123s ya could go with LiPos instead.

2. It comes with a moonlight mode at 8 lumens or 300 hrs runtime.

3. It has a momentary tail switch besides the mode-changing side switch for those that prefer a cigar grip while smokin’ yer cigar.

4. If all else fails might make a good fartin’ around experimental host.

The only BIG drawback I see right off the batt it’s a USB-micro connector. And ya prolly know how much I hate those. :laughing:

5. Just noticed it comes with a pocket clip. Fairly big flash to come with that feature. Hmmmmm. :+1: Butt wait….there’s more….a titanium alloy pocket clip?!

Geez. I’m gonna get one just for THAT. :laughing: :+1:

6. Comes with a holster too. IDK this could be a real sleeper or a real POS for $9.99. Do I feel lucky, punk? Well do I? :laughing:

7. Has also apparently an NCR 18650 Panasonic batt. A Panny batt included for $9.99? Notta there has gotta be a catch-22. :money_mouth_face:

PS. I think they cooda picked a better name than Soonfire working with lithiums. Nofire, maybe. Nottafire……IDK that’s really stretching the hymengination there. Well wattya expect for $9.99?
PSS. Microsoft Edge just told me this flash went for $39.99 back on June 4. This cood be the squeal of a lifetime! :sunglasses:

I would guess that most of the cheap ones on eBay are fakes.

It is advertised as 2,000mah 3.7v I guess a 18650 inside, would be interesting to see how much more power can it put out with a high drain cell?
