Good call here, because if you order on AliExpress, you’ll pay about $3+ for shipping. Amazon is free if you order enough to reach $25 USD, for those of us in the USA. These are great little lights to have around or give as an extra with gift.

EDIT: Yuck. Just got the Lumintop EDC-AAA. It sucks. Terrible UI. It starts high and ramps down. Aspherical lens is just weird. Tint is lousy. Awful. I’m returning mine.

It’s freakier than that. Look at a video on the yoo toob, and you’ll see related ads. Goggle something, ads for that. Hell, once I was talking with someone about something odd like flypaper strips, and whaddya know, ads for that. I thought it was a stretch when people would claim that The Android sniffs your conversations and phones home to the mothership, but that was weird.

That’s why I purposely go for active disinformation. I’ll search on Amazon for fish tanks, aquarium rocks, and turtle-food. Same for grils volleyball shorts and ballet outfits. Same for rock-climbing gear. Same for hair straightener and extensions. Any chaff I can throw their way to waste their efforts, yay me!

This is why a buddy of my swears by the tor browser and such, and duckduckgo. Too many things keeping track…

Tried tor. It was SO limited I deleted it after an hour of being frustrated. OTOH, it clearly indicates how much you are being constantly snooped on line.
I guess it depends on what you find sucks the most.

“Privacy Badger” and “No Script” extensions can help a bit. (But No Script can also render a site useless if you lock it down too much! It is handy for only allowing the bare minimum for a site to run e.g. block annoying adverts.)

I’m going to try those AAA, but so far I’ve had pretty poor luck with lame capacity. Just not enough room in there for the electronics and the actual battery. I’ll be surprised, and pleased, if they break 350mAh.

I'm taking stock of all the purchased AA & AAA and pretty much the quantity of EBL, Amazon basics, Tenergy, etc. have dwindled to 25% of original count or less, in a year or two. Plus, the internal resistance of the remainder is verging on too high.

On the other hand, Eneloops bought 6+ years ago are still great!

I did find some Energizer AA NiMH at a Home Depot, made in Japan. They got a little hot in an older Nitecor charger but maybe due to the charge rate being too high.

The point is don't fund & reward the junk makers.

Thanks! I've been considering the Nichia version for a while but went with higher output. And the USB-C charged battery really makes sense. The battery arrived with a 20% SOC and it's charging at .42A. The grip is quite notable.

I got one recently, not from this sale, but I really like it. I now know why it always comes up in recommendations for AA lights.It is the nicest light of this form factor that I have found since my 4 Sevens Mini. I did get rid of the cell sucking lighted clicky in favor of the magnetic cap and using it with twisty head.
OTH, I am not a fan of the USB rechargeable cell. Not on this light nor any light. It is OK, because I have lots and lots of good rechargeable AA cells. I have an Eneloop AA in mine now. No need for the crazy 600 lumen output in a tiny pocket light (for a few seconds), and longer run times at more practical lower levels…

But, as much as I like it, one of my TS10s is in my pocket every day!

Here’s the Tool AAUV for $19 with $11 coupon. Pretty sweet deal. I have one and it is POWERFUL with 14500 in it. It will just about hang with a 18650 UV of mine.

Tried discharging one right out of the pack at 0.3A > 128mAh. Have another one going at 0.2A discharge.

mine all over discharged to 1.09V before the protection tripped.
