Hi guys! I got a new ammeter and made a short video about it. I tested my Soshine SC-F3 charger with it.

Hopefully you can see how useful these things can be too, as a change from a digital multimeter in some instances where you need a more visual idea of what is happening (especially if you don’t have a nice scope).

This Huawei ammeter cost £3 I think from Ebay. It is class 2.5, 1A DC.

Agreed, sometimes I miss my old but very good analog DMM. It was 20 times bigger (than my actual UNI-T 33) but still :bigsmile:

Yeah, analogue ammeters are fun to play with as they visualize the amount of current flow, but most are limited to 1A. :~

Nice video you have made there Chloe. I’m a bit worried about teddy though. Is he ok. He somehow managed to get squashed by the meter in your video. :_(

I did come across some higher, some with shunt resistors too. There used to be many vintage meters on Ebay but less now it seems.
