Anduril comments and questions.

Just got a SC31 Pro and I am very impressed with Anduril! I am a big fan of simple elegant UIs like Thurnite and ArmyTek. Anduril is in that class if not the head of it! Takes a decent light and turns it into an excellent light. Some random questions and comments:

Thermal management. Seems to me that Andruil is a game changer for the utility of an EDC compact 18650 light. Would appreciate comments from those who know more about this than I do. What I notice is that I can run at the top of the ramp and not only still hold the light but get a very significant amount of lumen for a sustained period. Makes the little tube light function much more like something with far more mass. Seems to really change the high output usefulness of compact lights.

Is there an undocumented feature? I notice that if I double click from off I get what appears to be Turbo. However, if I then double click again, it gets even brighter. Double clicking with the light on goes to what appears to be turbo but double clicking then returns to the previous level. Any idea what is going on here?

The long press to moonlight is something that I think every light should have. The programming of 1 for the floor makes sense and it is a barely acceptable moonlight. Would it even be possible to configure some sort of less than 1 level floor? Not sure how much of that depends on the light and how much is in the driver but I know other lights can get to a lower moonlight and that is the only thing that I would like to see better than it is.

Outside of something like a twisty AAA or dedicated thrower couldn’t nearly every budget flashlight be dramatically improved by switching to Andruil? How hard would it be for manufacturers to put this on all of their lights?

I sort of get the diagram and the need for a diagram. However, the manual is very good. I would like to see a QR code printed with the docs of any flashlight that uses andruil pointing to the manual.

The ease of the battery check is fantastic! Excellent to be able to check and calibrate the thermometer as well.

Rather than annoying blinkys now we can still have a tactical strobe if needed without getting in the way. BONUS! Also have useful bike flasher and fun candle and even a lightning storm for kicks!

Default easy to use. Fairly simple to configure. Very easy to live with day to day. Just an amazing project.

As described in the manual 2C from off brings you to the ramp ceiling and 2C from on to turbo. Pressing 2C again goes back to the previous level.

1 is the lowest the driver can do.

Depends on the driver. Currently only some ATtiny MCUs are supported. And the manufacturer must be willing to use a complex UI.

Thanks for the response. Guess I missed that in the manual. Make sense.
