I think it would be awesome for the “blinky modes” to include a metronome!
Im imagining tapping the button to set the BPM and having a visual flash metronome.
I dont know how Anduril works beyond just using it, so I have no idea if it can or cant actually be done.
It would probably have to be similar to Momentary Mode to allow you to click the button to set the BPM. And like Momentary Mode, you would have to then untwust the tail cap to break connction to get back out of it.
This would be neat. 1H/2H could still adjust brightness as needed.
Edit: this could be done with Beacon mode actually. You’d just have to change how beacon mode spacing is set. Rather than clicking N times for N number of seconds between blinks, it would need to use the method you described. Then it wouldn’t even need to be a separate mode.
Ive been sitting on the idea for a little while.
It just ocurred to me one day while I was messeing around putting an anduril light inside my acoustic guitar on candle mode and lightning mode, as well as trying out recording a video using candle mode as my light source.
Some metronomes like the one I use (iphone app) have visual cues as well as an actual flash of the phones led as an option.
I can actually set the one I use to be visual only.
I have owned real metronomes with visual cues as well.
Most flashlights don’t have a real time clock / external oscillator, so I’m not sure how accurate you could get this without some kind of calibration mechanism, and even then, who knows how stable it would be.
Another fun use for it would be tapping in the tempo of a song that is playing and having your light just sitting there flashing in time with it.
Turning off all the lights and having the room light up in sync with your music.
Especially with some fun colored emitters.
Edit: Maybe it could even be more of a pulse instead of fully on and off.
