it always comes back to level 3 after a power-on
what is that?
if i put it in ramping mode, it still comes back to the same level
pretty sure it used to remember the last light level used…
i have an FW-3A that remembers
how did it get this way? how to fix?
i feel like the battery may be weak [it is cheap] - but i have it charged, level shows 4.1V

Sounds like you are in manual memory. From on, do 5H (press five times and hold the last one). That should bring you back to automatic memory. It got enabled by 5C from on.
i could not figure it out
eventually i did a hard reset and it all went back to working [[power up with holding button down]]
though i enabled mode memory i think, also
it just would not do anything

But you are sure it’s Anduril 1 and not 2? Does it have version check (15C from off)?
With anduril 1, you 5c to store the manual mode, but might also need to enable or disable the automatic memory with the 5h. Some combination of the two should work.

You forgot the zeros. Yes, that’s Anduril 2 and you use 10H from on to disable manual memory.
What Sammy said, I’m not aware that Anduril 1 has a vcheck.
