ANSWERD: Need help from a UK member for shipping a light to USA

Hi,
I am writing to ask help in shipping a flashlight I want to purchase from an online store in the UK.
It costs, on the website, $72 US dollars to ship to the USA.
It is a small light, 4 ounces it says.
Any way of shipping it slower and cheaper?
Thanks for any help and suggestions.
And yes, I have helped others with shipping too, I understand this hobby

UK Royal Mail?

Well, 4 ounces?, it looks like that site is getting from $60 to $70 profit for sending you the package, unless they say it can only go express. UK Royal airmail should be the cheapest way, 5-7 days and again, it should be very reasonable $5-$10. The seller may not want to screw with that though and they may not help you. If they don't show options on the website, I would go find it somewhere else.

I’m happy to help if needed.

+1 PM if help needed. I have plenty of bubble wrap & jiffy bags (they just seem to pop through the door with alarming frequency)

Edit>> Just been on Royal Mail site - for up to 150 gram small packet, sent Airsure - value <£50, cost £9.01, with tracking within UK, expected delivery 5 days. If value >£50, exp. delivery 4 days, with delivery confirmation, price is £9.26.

Seems quite expensive, but nowhere near the $70 quoted.

Which light is it? Google-fu is strong amongst BLFers, so maybe we can help out in other ways.

Thanks for the replies and PM’s. This forum is populated with the great people that used to be
“over there” at CPF.

I will contact the store and ask for the light to go royal mail instead.
If I am unsuccessful I will ask for help here again

On advice to contact the store, I did and they showed me where to choose standard shipping methods. I misread it as either UK shipping region or USA being more expensive.
I will now provide the link of the light I found and purchased
In clearance, they have an ARC LS !! I own one.

The same guy was developing this in 2004 or 5. Hasn’t happened, but wow. Think 8 years ago!

Thanks for all the help, this forum is awesome!!
