I just thought I would ask, you never know. There's a ton of laser etching places, but they want an arm and a leg just to etch a logo on a few Maglites and they usually want a minimum that is more than my maximum, LOL.

So are there any members here who are also laser etching guys?

Thanks,

Justin

Icant do it and it’s not what you asked for but I suppose engraving is not an option?

I don’t know of anywhere, but I have seriously thought about getting one of these Laser Envgravers from Banggood. I wonder if they are any good, though. It would be cool to put a custom logo on anything.

The problem with laser engraving on a round part like a maglite is that to do it would require your machine to have an indexer on it to turn the part as it engraves. This inherently drives the cost of the equipment much higher and out of the price range of hobbyists and small shops. This is why you always see the laser etching on budget lights done on a flat spot on the tube.

@Truesilver. I think you would be disappointed with that kit as it does not have the power to mark hard materials like metals etc.

Have seen vendors at gun shows promoting their laser engraving, showing examples of their work. On the gun grip made out of wood it looked pretty good, on the metal gun it didn’t look that good, very shallow. A machine good enough to do metal good is probably expensive.
