Any good output 2 x 18650 lights under $30?

I don’t really see this kind of set up much. I usually see either a single 18650 or four set up. Single or multi-emitter doesn’t matter. I realize the multi-emitter would raise the price, but even a well driven XM-L2 should get you close to 1000 lumens, right? Don’t care if it’s a flood or thrower. Just a bright, reliable 2x18650 under $30. I reason why I opt for 2 18650s is for increased runtime if it’s a single emitter driven hard. I just haven’t seen anything like that.

The Convoy lights + extensions would fit the bill. You can get a 2*18650 Convoy C8 host for like $14. L4 light for under $40 if you want an electronic switch and don’t want to assemble one.

The Courui is 3x18650 - which isn’t that much bigger than 2x, but with 50% more battery capacity.

Now still on sale at gearbest - $29.99, easily the best thrower deal under $30 at this time.

I don’t know if you’re in the USA, but bought one and its a good light for the money. Tailcap for power on/off and a side switch for mode selection, no mode memory when the light is turned off. Proud forward clicky tail, big reflector, single XM-L. Driver is 5-mode and 6W, it draws about an amp off the two-cell stack.

The driver is impossible to resistor-mod though, I tried every single large resistor and it did nothing.

It’s out of stock now, but I think that this one was on a deal alert thread earlier, and I just got it from Meritline (pretty fast):

If it comes back in stock, it’s a pretty good deal for the $8.99 price!

Wow! That’s cheap!! Build quality respectable?

Seems pretty good. Actually, it’s kind of hard to believe the price, and I’m sorry that it’s out-of-stock now, because I wish I had bought a few more at the time :(… Also, it looks like the latest review might be by one of our BLFers…

They’re OOS, have been for a week or so now.

I know, I know… I mentioned that in my posts :)…

Thanks,
Jim

Smallsun zy-t08 has many modding possibilities. Or just replace thw resistors on the original driver.

Have any of you seen or used the Small Sun zy-t07? Granted, it’s a bit uglier than the t08 with the two individual battery compartments and the beam has shadows of the screws from the bezel…. but the estimated lumens are higher.

Remember to use BLF coupon code.

You could probably get a Solarforce L2 host, the 1x18650 extender, and a low cost P60 for $30 or less.
